ROCKLAND — Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a house Tuesday night at 2451 Brown County ZZ.
The fire was reported about 7:15 p.m., and it took fire crews several hours to get the blaze under control, Greenleaf fire Chief Joe Daul said.
No one was hurt, and residents were outside the home when crews arrived, Daul said.
Daul would not comment on what crews saw when they arrived on scene, and declined to say whether the fire was suspicious.
Investigators also are working to determine exactly where the fire started.
The property is valued at $566,700, according to Brown County online land records. That includes $418,200 in improvements and $148,500 for 5.6 acres.
According to real estate records, the property was built in 2007, and it is listed for sale at $599,900. Green Bay Press Gazette
